Hi,

since i am not good in working with images i could need some help.
I wanted to create a personal flag combining a British Naval ensign and the ensign of my hometown.

I found this on the PoTbS site:

This is the ensign of my hometown:

The idea i had was to add the ensign of my hometown on the lower right corner. But every version i created so far looked pretty awful : (
I tried with paint and OpenOffice Draw but i guess without proper software it can t be done.

Could any body please help me out or give me he hint how to combine those 2 pictures?

one of the biggest problems with making a high quality flag is getting the high quality sources that make up the flag elements.

The British union jack are simple enough to find or re-create, I wouldn't even bother using the flag you found.

The device for your hometown is a different story. Can you get a higher quality image source, or let me know what town it is so I can do some research on it?

The town is called Breisach (am Rhein) it s in the Southwest of Germany.
The best version i was able to find on the internet is this one:

http://www.ngw.nl/int/dld/b/breisach.htm

I sent a mail to the mayor's office with a request for a high-res version of the town's emblem. I hope i can get one from there.

*cry*

Although the flag was rated 5/5 it got rejected.

Here is what they wrote:

This is very, very close--only rejected because the texture on the red parts of the flag were overdone. Tone that down and I'll bet this would work.
